House Points
I love it when my house wins and we get an extra playtime! ~ Pupil Comment
This school award is available to children from Year 1 to Year 6.
The school is divided into four houses. The houses are named after famous local people and have a colour attached ~
Armstrong (William Armstrong) Blue house points
Cookson (Catherine Cookson) Green house points
Cuthbert (Saint Cuthbert) Yellow house points
Grey (Charles Grey) Red house points
Each House has a captain, who is elected from Year Six pupils.
Pupils in Year One to Year Six can be allocated house points for academic work, behaviour, cross-curricular activities or attitude.
During the Key Stage Two Sports Day children collect points for their house.
At the end of each term House Captains collect in the tally charts and the points are totalled. The House with the most points receives a reward such as an extra playtime.
