Curriculum Overview
A child is not a vessel to be filled but a lamp to be lit.' Hebrew Proverb
All children at Kingston Park Primary School receive a relevant, stimulating, balanced curriculum, which is carefully differentiated to meet the individual child’s needs.
We believe that the curriculum should be as exciting and stimulating as possible. We actively seek to promote a love of learning by making school fun and relevant whilst at the same time ensuring standards are high in order to prepare your children for their future.
All our children are taught in mixed ability classes. Activities are differentiated to match the abilities of each child so that they have appropriate challenges and can progress at their own rate. The children are usually taught as a whole class but may also work with adults in smaller groups or individually. Teachers utilise a range of teaching approaches so that all children can be actively involved.
