House Points
I love it when my house wins and we get to come in non-uniform! ~ Pupil Comment
This school award is available to children from Reception to Year 6.
The school is divided into four houses. The houses are named after famous local people and have a colour attached ~
Armstrong (William Armstrong) Blue house points
Cookson (Catherine Cookson) Green house points
Cuthbert (Saint Cuthbert) Yellow house points
Grey (Charles Grey) Red house points
Each House has a captain, who is elected from Year Six pupils.
Pupils from Reception to Year Six can be allocated house points for academic work, behaviour, politeness or attitude - all linked to the Golden Threads of our curriculum.
During the Key Stage Two Sports Day children collect points for their house.
At the end of each half-term, House Captains collate the totals and report this to Mr. Alexander. The House with the most points receives the reward of coming to school in non-uniform for one day the following half-term.
