Pupil Premium

Pupils eligible for pupil premium funding, receive well planned tasks which are carefully checked to ensure they make a difference ~ OFSTED 2013

General Information About Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement.  These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals; those looked after by the local authority and children of armed services personnel.  The intended effect of this funding is to accelerate progress and raise attainment.

In most cases the Pupil Premium is allocated to schools and is clearly identifiable.  It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil, is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.

All schools are required to publish their Pupil Premium Strategy online.

Supporting Children to Achieve their Full Potential

At Kingston Park we believe that having access to outstanding teaching, resources and additional support is instrumental in raising the outcomes for children.   We therefore use the majority of Pupil Premium funding to provide excellent and inspirational teaching and non-teaching support across school.   As outlined in the data in our Pupil Premium documentation this strategy is highly effective in supporting our children to achieve extremely well.
